Ballad of the Absolute Pauper

Blessed are you, you poor in spirit.
Your weakness is so great.
You really get the meaning,
Of living in the light.

Man’s strength means nothing to an Almighty God,
Who is stronger than I Am?
What can you prove to the Creator
Of sky, earth and man?

Better to be used in your weakness,
It’s hard to understand.
Oh Lord please use me, a pauper in this world.
A common man, a sinful man.

I build nothing on my own.
I am nothing without you.
I have done nothing to deserve You.
Your strength, your love and your will.
